We have come up with am awesome online evet which will enable all our members from around the country to participate (thanks for the suggestion Renier).

 We will be holding SA's first online latte art competition starting on the 31st of May for one week. How you gonna do that you may ask

- On monday the 31st of May we will be posting a unique A4 background on the web site.  Participants will download the image and print it out. 

- When you have done your latte art, you need to place your art on top of the image and take 2 photo's of the image with a digital camera from two different angles (specified on the image) and submit the images to the forum. You will also be required to email the original unmodified images to us for verification.

- You may submit as many images as you wish (within reason)

- Three judges (still to be decided) will evaluate the photo's independantly, using the SCAE World Latte Art Championship 2010, marking sheet as much as possible (entry downloadable from LINK ). Obviously the quality iof the photography willhave a factor so make sure you have good photo's.

- Contestants have until 09:00 Monday the 7th of June to submit their entries

- Entries are restricted to people living in SA (although other entries are eligable to be drooled over :-) )

-  We will have a classes for both proffesional and non-proffesional baristas. Proffesional's are considered to be those people working more for more than 1 month in the last year as a barista. So everyone stands a chance.

- When you submit your photo's we want some additional information with them please. Obviosly your submission should include the name of the person who created the latte art as well as the machine it was created on, the coffee and milk used as well as some history on your latte art skills. 

- I would also like to include a class for etching if we get enough entries (anyone interested?) 

- Koldserve have volunteered to provide us with some prizes but if anyone else would like to get involved please let me know. Sponsor's logo's will be included on the downloaded background.
