710801 Vivreau Temporary Hardness Test Kit
Protect your equipment by gaining insight in to your water quality with the use of the Vivreau Temporary Hardness Test kit! The Vivreau Temporary Hardness Test kit is used to measure the carbonate hardness in your water. This test will help you select the appropriate Vivreau Filter, and can help determine the capacity of the filter. Use this kit with the Vivreau Purity C line and the Vivreau XtraSafe line.
How to Measure Temporary Hardness (Carbonate Hardness):
- Let the water run out of the tap until it is cool
- Fill the measuring tube up to the 5 ml mark with tap water
- Add the indicator liquid drop by drop, swirling regularly and counting the drops
- ATTENTION: Hold the bottle upright. Air inclusion in drops falsifies the measurement result
- After the first drop, the color changes to purple
- Keep adding drops until the color changes from purple to yellow and is stable, then the measurement is finished
- 1 Drop = 1 °dH (17.848 ppm) (Example: 10 drops = 10 °dH (178.48ppm))
